
Family Resource Network - Child and Youth Skill Development
Child and Youth Skill Development is a development program for children and youth aged 7-13 that require social skill building. The skill building and social connection opportunities are provided in a group environment for youth and children to have supportive and nurturing relationships to develop self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem. The programming is evidence based with a focus on sessions that support critical - thinking skills, intellectual growth, and the development of identity. The youth will participate in weekly group sessions, with curriculum and activities based on skill areas such as: managing anger and other emotions, friendship skills and body image and identity. Referrals can be from any source, including schools, counsellors, or parents.
