Inn Between Group Home

A safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for youth.

The Inn Between Group Home offers youth with Child Intervention Status a safe shelter in Medicine Hat along with a range of supports. Inn Between promotes stability, physical and emotional health and well-being, and cultural connection. Individuals residing at Inn Between are supported in educational, community and employment endeavors.  

A Tailored Community-Based Program

Ages 12 to 17

The program is open to youth aged 12 to 17 who require out-of-home placement and have Child Intervention Status.

No Fees

The program is funded by the Ministry of Children’s Services. There are no costs for participants.

Meaningful  Support

We create a therapeutic space through strong relationships, routines, structure, consistent practice, and opportunities.

Referral Required

Referrals are accepted from the Ministry of Children’s Services.

What to Expect

At Inn Between Group Home youth are provided with day-to-day supports and services in a community-based group care environment. 

 

The therapeutic space is built on strong relationships, routines, structure and consistency. At the same time, the home recognizes the need for flexibility and individual approaches. Youth are provided with social, intellectual and recreational opportunities in a structured and supportive environment to encourage positive youth development.

How to Access the Program

Inn Between Group Home is a closed-referral program. The program is accessed through Children’s Services. 

 

Typically, youth will transition out of the Inn Between when a suitable long-term placement has been found, or they transition into independence.
